Losing Reproductive Rights. A Travesty to All Women and a Minor Inconvenience to Rich Republicans.
That Day I Heard Our Entire Society’s Heartbeat… Stop.

There’s a place in America where a woman who is raped no longer has the option to not reproduce the offspring of her rapist.
There’s a place in America where if a woman gets raped by her own father, she must carry her inbred fetus to term. Under penalty of law.
Welcome to 2019.
I’m a man,… luckily, as it turns out,… and I can not even begin to process this.
For some, it won’t be a problem.
When the next old, male, disgusting, GOP Senator impregnates his mistress, it won’t be a problem. From his spotted, wrinkled, hands, comes lush green money for her plane ticket to somewhere far away from his home state, where women still have the rights of ordinary citizens.
When the next GOP Congressman has an adult daughter who needs or wants an abortion, one that’s illegal in the state they’re in due to a bill he signed in order to get more votes, it won’t be a problem. Once again, wealth provides convenience in her lavish trip to Paris to see the Louvre and have a procedure done by a responsible, licensed, physician.
If you’re a GOP Governor it won’t be a problem. Any unwanted pregnancy issues within the confines of your own world and those who inhabit within are easily solved. A stark contrast to that same Governor’s own female constituents forced into compliance of their own bodies under his rule. Like chattel.
The Republican Party has whimsically decided to take away a woman’s right to decide on the single most personal and profound of all decisions.
Today, it’s a few states. For tomorrow… The Guardian reports nine more US States are considering a ‘hard line’ abortion bill. USA Today reports Missouri could be next.
Cancer spreads.
I was three years old when Roe v Wade was passed. I probably wasn’t aware of it at the time.
1973. Almost a half-century ago.
Since then, people who have the good sense and the decency to “allow” women to have control over their own bodies, including their own uterus, ovaries, and womb, had grown… complacent. We let our thoughts wander, we let our eyes stray from steering the ship. We had become used to Roe v Wade as a fact of life that preceded many of us and would outlive us all.
And then it wasn’t.
They’ll scream “precious life”.
They’ll scream “precious life”, those old, strange, men, and the few truly unsettling women who serve in the Republican Party, their entire existence in service and servitude to the Republican Party.
Oh, life is SO “precious” to the GOP…
Except when “precious life” wants to go to school and not die in a pool of its own blood, wearing the clothes of a small child. — “Precious Life” is not as “precious” or important, as keeping AR-15 Assault Rifles within the immediate reach of anyone who wants one. To do otherwise would inconvenience the NRA. Any network will tell you to “never upset the sponsors”.
When “precious life” needs health care, the Republican Party feels it’s far more important to give giant tax cuts to the wealthiest people on Earth.
When “precious life” needs prenatal-care it’s suddenly less “precious”, and when a single mother who was FORCED, against her own will, to carry a child to term, can’t afford to feed that child… its life is certainly no longer “precious”.
Every day since 2016 America gets darker for all of us.
But for women, their lights are now out, thanks to the Republican Party.
So are their rights.
